One Piece Live Action Season 2: A Triumph of Dreams, Friendship, and Freedom

Following the unexpected success of its first season in 2023, the live-action version of One Piece returns with its second season on Netflix. The project is still led by Matt Owens and Steven Maeda, based on the legendary manga created by Eiichiro Oda.

Here, the crew learns the touching story of Laboon, a lonely whale who continues to crash its head against a rock every day while waiting for its pirate friends to return. After escaping thanks to Luffy’s promise to meet Laboon again, the crew soon faces a much bigger threat: the secret organization Baroque Works.

During this journey, they meet Nefertari Vivi, the princess of Alabasta, and decide to help her return home to save her kingdom. The story introduces more strategic villains as the crew confronts dangerous agents from Baroque Works at Whisky Peak and Little Garden.

Beyond simple battles of strength, the crew must now rely on cooperation and trust to overcome increasingly dangerous challenges.

Along the way, the Straw Hat Pirates encounter new allies such as the giant warriors of Elbaf, Dorry and Brogy, and eventually welcome a new crew member, Tony Tony Chopper, in the snowy Drum Kingdom.

Initially arriving in Drum Kingdom to find a doctor to save Nami, the crew ultimately decides to stay and help the people defeat the cruel king Wapol.
