At the Unpacked event on February 25th in San Francisco, Samsung officially introduced the Galaxy S26 series, with the Galaxy S26 Ultra positioned as the most premium model. Marketed as an “Agentic AI Phone”, the device integrates advanced AI-driven features designed to enhance user experience across photography, productivity, and security.

Design and Display

The Galaxy S26 Ultra marks the return to Armor Aluminum instead of titanium. Measuring just 7.9 mm in thickness, it is thinner than its predecessor and offers improved ergonomics.

The device features a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with QHD+ resolution and an adaptive 1–120 Hz refresh rate. The screen adopts a flat design with slimmer bezels, delivering a more immersive and modern viewing experience.

Privacy Display – Built-in Anti-Spy Technology

A standout feature of the Galaxy S26 Ultra is the Privacy Display. When activated, it intelligently dims pixels so that content is visible only from a direct viewing angle. This reduces the risk of shoulder surfing in public spaces.

Users can customize the anti-spy feature by specific applications or password entry areas. Notably, this feature is exclusive to the Ultra variant.

Advanced Camera System

The quad-camera system on the Galaxy S26 Ultra includes:

• 200 MP main camera with f/1.4 aperture
• 50 MP ultra-wide camera with f/1.9 aperture
• 10 MP 3x optical zoom camera with f/2.9 aperture
• 50 MP 5x optical zoom camera
• 12 MP Dual Pixel selfie camera

The device supports 8K video recording and introduces a Horizon Lock feature for stable 360-degree recording. AI-powered tools enable text-based image editing, photo merging, background replacement, shadow generation, and advanced noise filtering—even within third-party apps.

Performance and Software

The Galaxy S26 Ultra runs on One UI 8.5 and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor. It offers RAM configurations up to 16 GB and storage options of 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB.

An upgraded vapor chamber cooling system improves thermal performance by 20%, ensuring stable performance during intensive tasks such as gaming and 8K video recording.

Battery and Charging

The smartphone is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery, supporting 60W fast charging and 25W Qi2 wireless charging with magnetic alignment functionality.

S Pen and Pricing

The S Pen features a redesigned end to better align with the device’s curved body, while maintaining the same core functionalities as previous generations.

Pricing for the Galaxy S26 Ultra is as follows:

• $1,299 – 256 GB
• $1,499 – 512 GB
• $1,799 – 1 TB
